This special limited-edition of Crossing East has been signed by actress and comedian Margaret Cho. She won the American Comedy Award for Best Female Comedian in 1994 and made television history that year by being the first female Asian American to have a television series based around her. Since then, Cho has had several successful one-woman shows. In 2005, Cho released her second book, "I Have Chosen to Stay and Fight," a compilation of essays and prose about global politics, human rights, and other topical issues.
Crossing East is an eight-hour radio documentary series on Asian Pacific American History.
Three years in the making, Crossing East was created for release in May 2006, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. To date, it has aired on more than 300 public radio stations andis being hailed as the first comprehensive Asian American history series on radio or TV. Crossing East features the work of dozens of producers, scholars, musicians, and actors.
