On September 27-28, BC-Rap had a weekend healing arts retreat at beautiful Camp Kiwanis in Mt. Hood....

Our retreat was a rousing success with 12 participants sharing their stories through creative writing and visual art. Project Quest offered alternative healing therapies during the reatreat with healers donating their services. Here are some of the comments:

It helped me to identify my own feelings and open my heart...

I attended the first series of workshops and was inspired by them all. The retreat was wonderful andhelped to see the strength within me.

It opened the flood gates for me. I will now be able to do the writing that I so desperately need to do...

It was helpful for me to be in the forest to explore art and writing and to remember the value of them. I need support to get started...

This experience helped me in letting go of past beliefs of - I can't - I'm not good at art. It worked to help me let go of other things I am hanging onto...

These workshops are part of a collaboration with Project Quest's Arquette Cancer Program, KBOO radio, the Media Project and MediaRites to develop community partnerships to share information, creative expression and education about the topic of Breast Cancer.
