Listener Comments on The Breast Cancer Monologues:
"The Breast Cancer Monologues is a very beautiful, very powerful testimony to the diversity of experiences breast cancer patients go through and the
amazing resiliency and humor that finds us just when we thought we were going to fall off the face of the earth without a trace...This program brings
out the truth that I am part of a greater community of amazing women who have been given a second chance in this life, the chance to deeply know
how precious and fleeting this world is..."
"Words fail me now but the words spoken by those of us who have lived with breast cancer echo in my ears and my heart. I know my story and now I
know their stories. They give me hope and they draw my tears. I am forever changed by breast cancer but the change is not all bad. This production
is one of the good parts...."
"Wow! I really want those in the oncological care professions to sit and listen to this and think about it. Perhaps even a think session to figure
out how to make cancer therapy in the U.S. more patient friendly and thus promote greater healing. There are many others whom I hope will listen
to this, friends, family, support groups, but will it affect them in a positive way? I can only try and hope..."
"The Breast Cancer Radio Arts Project was and is so helpful in helping me deal with the fears and questions that have been a part of my life since
breast cancer and contributed to me feeling more positive and powerful in my life today..."
"The women's stories were deeply moving and inspiring. Sometimes someone needs a story more than they need food. May these stories sustain
listeners across the country..."
